Mindfulness and Relaxation for Health
  Relax the body, quiet the mind and open the heart

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 PM
Doors will open at 6:00 and you are strongly encouraged to arrive as early as possible between 6:00-6:30 to lie down, unwind, rest, nap or do your own yoga routine with soft lighting and quiet music. You may also arrive as late as 6:45 to join the class in progress

Goals
– Mobilize your inner resources for promoting health and self-care
– Learn effective skills for managing the stress of caregiving, burnout and chronic disease
– Explore the meaning and deepest values that inform your life and your work
– Cultivate your innate happiness, peacefulness and compassion
– Study and practice in a supportive group
Class sequence
– Gentle mindful hatha yoga (ok to arrive as late as 6:45)
– Yoga nidra and deep relaxation
– Sitting meditation
– Discuss personal experiences, readings and research
( no prior experience of mindfulness, meditation or yoga required )

Cost– $10
